The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center is hiring a Youth Program Specialist to design, coordinate, and evaluate programs that advance the health, safety, and leadership of LGBTQ+ youth in the greater Milwaukee and surrounding areas. This role also focuses on increasing visibility and access to our youth services, building partnerships with schools and youth-serving organizations, strengthening our presence at community events, and maintaining a consistent digital/print outreach presence.

Key highlights

  • Lead youth activities, life-skills workshops, and evidence-based, trauma-informed programming.

  • Support youth leadership (e.g., Youth Leadership Board, GSAs) and school partnerships.

  • Track outcomes and contribute to grants/reporting and continuous improvement.

What to expect in the hiring process (brief)

  1. First Round (virtual panel): Director of Operations & Innovation, Director of Clinical Services, and Aging & Director of Clinical Services

  2. Second Round (virtual panel): Executive Director, Aging & Disability Program Coordinator, and one Youth Advisory Board member

  3. Final step: Short writing dissemination exercise: Will be shared with the final two candidates.
