FOOD PANTRY
FOOD PANTRY
The Milwaukee LGBT Community Center’s Food Pantry is here to support our community with dignity and care. Open to all LGBTQ+ individuals and allies in need, the pantry offers free groceries, shelf-stable goods, and fresh items when available thanks to our partnership with Feeding America. Whether you're facing food insecurity or just need a little extra help this week, our doors are open to you. No proof of income is required—just come as you are. We believe everyone deserves access to nourishing food in a safe and affirming space.
Interested in donating, no problem, drop offs are easy and efficient. Just walk through the main doors, walk up the stairs to our front desk where they will be more than happy to accept any donations you have!
Our pantry serves individuals and families in need of immediate food assistance. We gladly accept non-perishable and perishable items, including:
Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans)
Canned fruits and vegetables
Pasta, rice, and boxed meals
Breakfast items (oatmeal, cereal, granola bars)
Peanut butter and jelly
Shelf-stable milk or milk alternatives
Dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.)
Frozen meats (chicken, beef, pork, etc.)
Fresh produce (fruits and vegetables)
Hygiene and household essentials (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, socks, undergarments)
We limit food pantry use to once per week.
