Meet Our Four-Legged Team Members

Yuyin Perez (he/him), pronounced “Joo Jean”

Yuyin is a charismatic and energetic eight-year-old born and raised in the vibrant state of Jalisco, Mexico. In 2021, he embarked on a new adventure as he made the journey to Milwaukee, where he swiftly adjusted to leisurely strolls during the balmy summer days and the cozy comfort of snug blankets during the frosty winters. While Yuyin may not be the biggest fan of snowy landscapes and chilly temperatures, his heart is always warm, and he wholeheartedly extends a hospitable greeting to everyone who graces the doors of MKE LGBT Community Center. His hobbies include basking in the sun's gentle embrace, cheekily requesting potato chips from his beloved humans, and diligently marking his territory. Yuyin is excited to be a part of the pack here at the MKE LGBT.

Draggy (He/Him)

Draggy is a healthy 3-year-old bearded dragon often referred to by his family as “fatso pancake” because when he basks under his heat light, he flattens himself into the shape of a pancake. He is chill and docile, so much so that in August of 2021, he became a registered emotional support animal (ESA – he even has his very own ID card!) and is often very involved with those in the counseling program. He enjoys being there to help and support people just as much as his owner and is delighted that many find comfort in his texture and calm, soothing nature as he perches himself upon them in sessions. He can sometimes be stubborn and go through periods where he craves autonomy. He enjoys sitting on the windowsill and basking in the natural sunlight, taking baths while getting massaged with an extra soft-bristled toothbrush, pets, and long naps in his favorite spot: behind the couch. His favorite foods include Dubia roaches, superworms, kale, and blueberries. He was delighted and honored to join the team at the MKE LGBT Community Center and welcomes anyone to visit him when he is not in session.
