Aaleh Hughes is a Black woman of trans experience, dynamic entertainer, ballroom diva, advocate, and role model. Originally from Rockford, IL, she now calls Milwaukee home, where she is making a powerful impact in the youth, ballroom, and entertainment communities. Aaleh currently serves as the Youth Program Coordinator at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, where she is known for her warmth, mentorship, and ability to create safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ youth.

Aaleh is the First Lady of the Milwaukee Chapter House of Alain Mikli and the former show director at the legendary This Is It Bar. Her vibrant presence and dedication have made her a beloved figure across the city. At the Center, young people seek her out not only for guidance and support, but also for the sense of family and belonging she brings into every space.

She frequently speaks at schools throughout Milwaukee, especially for Gay–Straight Alliance groups, where she shares her story and uplifts youth voices. Her work is rooted in advocacy and empowerment—ensuring that the next generation grows up feeling proud of who they are.

Aaleh’s passion stems from her own journey navigating the world as a trans woman of color. By sharing her lived experiences, she offers hope, resilience, and inspiration to others. Her unwavering commitment to the community continues to transform lives and lead with love.
