Position Description – Therapist/Partnership Coordinator
Reports to: Clinical Director
Position Summary: The Therapist/ Partnership Coordinator provides primary leadership, coordination, and delivery of services and initiatives related to LGBTQ victim services for adult and youth victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Position responsibilities include the provision of therapy and other mental health services to participants and legal and other social service referrals. The Therapist/Partnership Coordinator serves as liaison and coordinator for project partners and assists the Clinical Director with grant management and compliance. This position is 100% in-person and based in Milwaukee. Minimum of Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related human services field is required. Clinical licensure in the State of Wisconsin for mental health and substance abuse is not necessary but strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Clinical Director with grant compliance through successful implementation of services, programs, program evaluation, and grant reporting; coordinate data collection, entry, and analysis; Assist in writing grant proposals and requests
Provide direct services including therapy, case management, support groups, and safety planning to LGBTQ+ individuals.
Develop and facilitate LGBTQ+ training sessions for partner organizations.
Provide ongoing technical assistance to partnering agencies.
Oversee the delivery of educational assistance, vocational training, employment services, finical counseling, and housing assistance to program participants.
Work with community-based organizations, agencies, and other entities in support of meeting LGBTQ+ needs within their structures, systems, and services, and to maximize the Center’s service impact.
Develop and facilitate a support network for LGBTQ+ survivors to promote long-term safety and sustainability through community building and advisory opportunities. Also develop a comprehensive LGBTQ+ referral network for survivors that focus on the multiple underserved intersecting identities of the LGBTQ+ communities.
Serve as an ambassador and Center spokesperson regarding the Center’s mission, philosophy, programs, and services including at community events and Center functions, through outreach tabling at resource fairs, and on select committees/work groups
Create a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment for visitors to the Center
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related human services field. Clinical licensure in the State of Wisconsin for mental health and substance abuse is not necessary but strongly preferred.
Experience in case management, and proficient knowledge of ethical and legal standards in regard to protecting client's and participant's confidentiality and rights including but not limited to HIPPA guidelines.
Experience in managing social service and counseling-related programs and projects including evaluating program progress and implementing quality improvement processes
Experience in the development and facilitation of professional training covering one or more of the following topics: Trauma-informed care, victim services, mental health, substance use, and/or related to other social service and advocacy matters.
Knowledgeable about the diversity of LGBTQ+ identities, cultures, and communities, social and other indicators of LGBTQ+ individuals’ mental health and holistic well-being, identity development, and social justice advocacy
Understanding and ability to effectively articulate clinical issues, concerns, and needs of LGBTQ+ individuals regarding sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression, race, class, age, and the intersection of identities, and relative to those impacted by interpersonal violence including sexual assault and abuse, intimate partner violence, domestic and family violence, physical assault, bullying, harassment, stalking, human trafficking, and hate and bias-motivated crimes
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate cross-culturally and work effectively with individuals and groups, including those with socially marginalized identities and experiences. Experience with public speaking, delivering educational training, and facilitating group activities
Ability to inspire trust and respect among colleagues and external partners; Able to maintain privileged client information
Organized and reliable; proficient with current technology and communication systems as well as common office software and computer functions
Ability to work a variety of hours, including at night and on weekends to meet staff, client, and agency needs.
Experience in grant writing, management, and reporting a plus as is experience providing clinical services virtually or via telephone.
Ability to speak and/or translate written content into Spanish or other language(s) a plus
Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time salaried position and comes with a base salary range of $45-55K annually to start, commiserate with experience and required skill sets, and negotiable upon offer of employment. Benefits include (but are not limited to) majority employer-provided health and dental insurance; long-term disability and life insurance; 13 paid holidays per year; 12 paid sick days per year; 6 paid personal days per year, and a generous paid vacation benefit.

If you are selected for a first interview, this will take place via Zoom (video conference), and with a committee of staff and directors.
Candidates who are selected for a 2nd interview may be asked to prepare a brief presentation, writing sample, or another form of skills test prior to the 2nd interview to present/review with the hiring committee during the 2nd interview. You will also be asked to provide 3 references. The 2nd interview will most likely be in person but may happen via zoom pending the availability of hiring committee members to appear in person.
