Angel ‘Ang’ Rodriguez (they/them/he) is the program associate at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center. Ang is a proud Midwestern hailing from Chicago, Illinois, and honors living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin! 

Ang is also a proud and loud queer Mexican American of immigrant descent. They are passionate about human rights (especially LGBT rights) and mental health advocacy for intersectional, diverse communities. 

They are currently a Trinity Fellow and Masters candidate in Public Service/Nonprofit Administration at Marquette University. 

Ang graduated with an undergraduate degree in Social Work education from Loyola University Chicago. Ang also graduated with an associate’s in psychology from Arrupe College-Loyola Chicago. 

After undergraduate studies, Ang served in the Jesuit Volunteers Program (a non-Jesuit Volunteers Corps program) for two years. During the program, they served as a Jesuit Volunteer as college counsel and substitute teacher, mentored, tutored, and supported students with their campus ministry and corporate work study experiences. 

Ang is placed at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center through the Trinity Fellows program at Marquette University. As the Programs Associate, Ang supports the center’s program staff, service provisions, and programming and resources management.

Outside of work, Ang is an avid reader and loves reading travel and tourism books. Ang is a passionate foodie. Ang loves to cook and spend quality time with family and friends.
