This web site is thus dedicated to these people, as well as those who will move the LGBT community forward into what it will become over the next 40+ years. The beginning of the History Project goes back many years by individual efforts of a great many people in storing documents and memorabilia of LGBT life in the Milwaukee area, whether it be social life, businesses (bars, restaurants, etc.), or groups such as PrideFest and the Community Center. The physical display is seen by all to be a permanent archive to be built on in future years, not only benefiting the gay/lesbian community, but also serving as a source of information for the non-LGBT community to better understand the contributions and history of the LGBT community, by being displayed in public places and events; following PrideFest, it has been displayed at the LGBT Community Center, UWM Student Union building, and other locations.

All People’s Church-Lutheran (ELCA) 2600 N 2nd St, Milwaukee WI 53212
Two styles of worship:
In the 9 AM Encounter Worship, we create a space to hear the still, small voice of God. In a more reflective worship style, we praise in song and prayer, hear the word in readings and preaching, and share in the Lord’s Supper.
At 11 AM, we have our Powerhouse Service. We begin with thanks and praise – high energy opening music as the people of God gather. We then move into the prayers of the church – a time when the Spirit moves and the body of Christ is knit together.

ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis was founded by a group of women – led by Melodie Wilson – who realized that having breast cancer is about much more than biopsies, surgery and chemotherapy. Most of ABCD’s founders are breast cancer survivors who discovered that the most valuable information and support came from others in similar life circumstances with similar experiences with the disease. Not everyone diagnosed with breast cancer knows where to find that kind of help. That’s where ABCD comes in.
ABCD provides free, personalized information and one-to-one support to people affected by breast cancer – patients, families and friends. While science searches for a cure, ABCD complements the work of healthcare providers by serving as a reliable, accessible and highly personalized breast cancer support resource for patients and their loved ones.

The need for foster and adoptive parents in our community is great. These children range from infants to teenagers and come from a variety of backgrounds. The one thing they have in common is that, through no fault of their own, they are among society’s most vulnerable. SaintA is currently recruiting foster and adoptive parents from all cultures and family structures. The primary requirements are simply love and caring. Visit for complete information, including a calendar of our orientation sessions. Attend one and learn more in person.
