Spiritual Wellness for the LGBT Community

Dates: first Thursday of every month (except January 2009)
Time: 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
Fees: free, but limited to twenty participants on a first-registered, first-served basis
The focus of the Spiritual Wellness program is to offer opportunities for our LGBT and allied communities to engage with their spiritual connections:
„« Within, among, and around them,
„« In a safe and supportive environment,
„« Through workshop discussions and activities,
„« Accessing available resources.
Each workshop session will provide participants with:
„« Round-table discussion by Spiritual Wellness team members as to how an issue is understood or addressed within her/his respective spiritual perspective.
„« Question and answer period to seek clarification about an issue or provide personal experience about the topic at hand.
„« Special activity such as guided meditation or drumming that offers auditory, visual, kinesthetic and/or intuitive awareness of the unique spirit inside each of us.
„« Resource and referral lists that offer additional information that can be accessed for further enlightenment about each workshop topic.
The Spiritual Wellness team includes:
Craig Bodoh: personal development facilitator.
Elaine Harris: storyteller/puppeteer who tells stories from several ethnic groups.
Joanne Lehman: student and teacher of meditation for the past 20 years.
Patrick Price: teacher of earth-based spiritual traditions and personal mythology.
Carolyn Snow: artist engaged in recovery spirituality for more than 15 years.
Rev. Wendy Woodruff: pastor of Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Church.

Each monthly workshop stands alone, so when you register, please indicate whether you plan to attend the entire nine-month series or a specific selection of workshops.
